Paraguay sees surge in new business registrations

In the first seven months of the year, Paraguay recorded 5,994 new legal companies, according to data from the Unified System for the Opening and Closing of Companies (SUACE). Simplified procedures and easier access to the financial system have driven the growth of Simplified Shares Companies (EAS), which represent nearly all of these new registrations.

These EAS entities mobilized USD 384 million in capital, with 85% originating from national sources and 15% from foreign investment. Key international contributors include Brazil, Argentina, Spain, and Bolivia, alongside capital from Greece, Australia, and Japan. The new businesses are primarily concentrated in the services, commerce, real estate, and agribusiness sectors, though activity was also noted in construction, technology, and food production.
