Paraguay seizes 261 kg of marijuana from US executive jet
Paraguayan authorities have seized 261.6 kilograms of high-purity marijuana from an executive jet at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport in Luque. The operation, conducted by the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD), resulted in the arrest of three United States citizens. The aircraft had arrived from the United States, and the narcotics were discovered in both the passenger cabin and the luggage compartment.
In a separate incident in Brazil, the Federal Police arrested a passenger at Cascavel Regional Airport in Paraná. The individual was found in possession of approximately 5 kg of hashish while attempting to board a domestic flight to Fortaleza. Authorities believe the substance was acquired in the border municipality of Mundo Novo.
