Paraguay seizes USD 150M in assets from Darío Messer; Cerimedo testifies in Bolivia

In Paraguay, a judge has executed the forfeiture of assets belonging to Brazilian businessman Darío Messer and his son, Dan Wolf Messer. The seized assets, valued at approximately USD 150 million, include companies such as Chai S.A., Matrix Realty S.A., and Pegasus Inversiones S.A. The forfeiture also encompasses over 100 real estate properties, 19,981 head of cattle, 339 equines, a Raytheon Beechcraft Baron 58 aircraft, and various heavy machinery and vehicles.

Separately, Argentine political consultant Fernando Cerimedo has testified before Bolivian authorities regarding an investigation into illicit enrichment. While Cerimedo declined to answer over 200 questions related to his role in the Bolivian government, he claimed his monthly income from international marketing and digital communication activities, primarily through his U.S.-based Numen Group Inc., is approximately one million dollars. He also confirmed providing digital communication advice during the presidential campaign of Rodrigo Paz.
