Paraguayan party primaries record high turnout; Colorado and Liberal nominees chosen

Precandidate for Asunción mayor Camilo Pérez held a press conference as internal elections neared their close, noting a voter participation rate of about 40 % and praising the Colorado Party for its civicity. He reported no major incidents and expressed optimism about the enthusiasm within the Honor Colorado movement.

In the municipal primary in Pedro Juan Caballero, the Colorado Party (ANR) candidate Luis Guillén secured the nomination with 8,341 votes (59.13 % of the total), while the Liberal Party (PLRA) candidate Ronald Acevedo won his contest with 11,049 votes (74.40 %). Both primaries featured strong citizen participation and complete vote tabulation.
