Parama Ekadashi 2026 observed on June 11 in India

Parama Ekadashi, a rare Hindu observance that occurs only during an adhik maas (an extra month that appears roughly every three years), will be celebrated in 2026 on June 11. The fast begins at night on June 10 (12:57 am) and ends on June 11 at 10:36 pm, with the main day of worship on June 11. Auspicious timings for the day include Saarthasiddhi Yoga and Shobhan Yoga, which are considered especially favorable for business and career activities.

Devotees will perform a strict fast, observe Brahmacharya, and worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi with offerings such as fruit, sweets, and tulsi leaves. The ritual includes bathing in the morning, cleaning a home shrine, lighting a ghee lamp, and chanting the mantra “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevāya” 108 times. Religious texts link the day to legends of the god of wealth Kubera and the righteous King Harishchandra, both of whom gained prosperity after observing the fast. The observance is believed to bring mental peace, material wealth, and spiritual upliftment.
