Brazil weather: Storm alerts and intense heat across regions

Brazil is experiencing widespread weather instability, characterized by intense heat, low humidity, and severe storm risks across multiple regions. In the North, the federal government is coordinating efforts to combat forest fires exacerbated by El Niño-induced droughts. In the Amazon and surrounding areas, high temperatures and reduced humidity increase fire risks.

In the South and Southeast, heavy rainfall and storm alerts are in effect. Paraná is facing significant instability with risks of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds. The South and Midwest regions are also under weather warnings, with potential for heavy precipitation and localized storms.

Conversely, the Central-West and parts of the North are dealing with extreme heat and very low humidity levels. The Distrito Federal and parts of Mato Grosso have seen temperatures reaching up to 36°C with humidity dropping as low as 15%, increasing the risk of respiratory issues and wildfires. Meanwhile, coastal and northern regions like Alagoas and Salvador face a mix of sun and isolated showers.
