Paraná firefighters complete disaster response task force course

The Paraná Military Firefighters Corps (CBMPR) concluded its annual Disaster Response Task Force (FTRD) course in Maringá on October 23. The training, which ran from October 5 to October 23, included 48 firefighters from Paraná and one representative from the Paraíba Military Firefighters Corps (CBMPB).

Coordinated by the Tactical Rescue Operations Group (GOST), the program prepared participants for high-complexity emergencies, including floods, landslides, structural collapses, and forest fires. Training modules covered 4x4 vehicle operation in difficult terrain, rescue boat operation, georeferencing, and rapid water rescue.

Practical exercises took place across various locations in Paraná, including simulations of floods near the Itaipu dam and search and rescue in collapsed structures. The course concluded with a 24-hour integrated exercise to test the participants' ability to apply logistics, planning, and self-sufficiency in adverse environments.
