Paraná Military Firefighters Corps operations and training

Overview

The Military Firefighters Corps of Paraná (CBMPR) has undergone recent structural expansions and specialized training initiatives. In the state’s western region, the 14th Military Firefighters Battalion was inaugurated in Toledo to manage emergency services across 20 municipalities. Additionally, the 9th Military Firefighters Battalion in Foz do Iguaçu marked its 50th anniversary with a change of command and the launch of a digital magazine titled ‘BASE’.

In terms of operational readiness, the CBMPR concluded its annual Disaster Response Task Force (FTRD) course in Maringá. The training program, which involved 48 firefighters from Paraná and one from Paraíba, focused on high-complexity emergencies such as floods, landslides, and forest fires. The course included practical simulations involving rapid water rescue and search and rescue in collapsed structures.
