Paraná implements precision agriculture technologies in farming

Agricultural producers and educational institutions in Paraná are adopting advanced technologies to modernize farming practices. Through technical trips organized by Sistema FAEP to various U.S. states, including California and Iowa, rural producers are testing artificial intelligence tools for cassava management, silo operations, and satellite imagery analysis. These initiatives aim to introduce technologies not yet widely available in Brazil to local producers and union members.

Simultaneously, the Paraná State Secretariat of Education (Seed-PR) has launched the “Carbono Zero e Rastro Zero” project. This initiative provides 11 spraying drones to 11 state agricultural colleges, benefiting approximately 4,800 students. The R$ 1.6 million investment through the Paraná Competitivo program allows students to gain practical experience in digital agriculture, precision farming, georeferencing, and automated input management, aligning technical training with high-productivity industry standards.
