Paraná launches Ecovecinales waste recycling program
The Municipality of Paraná has launched the Ecovecinales Program, an environmental and sustainability initiative aimed at optimizing the recycling circuit through waste separation at the source. The program is designed as a territorial and institutional strategy to connect neighborhood awareness efforts with the value chain at treatment plants.
The pilot phase will begin in five neighborhoods, starting with San Martín. The implementation includes environmental education workshops, the installation of new green containers for recyclables, and the deployment of a Mobile Green Point. According to Environment Undersecretary Maximiliano Pérez Viecenz, the program aims to bring source separation and containment directly to the city's neighborhoods.
