Paraná launches free veterinary and neutering services for pets

Various veterinary assistance programs are being implemented across the state of Paraná to provide free services for pets.

The Vet-Móvel Paraná program, coordinated by the General Superintendency of Animal Protection, is scheduled to visit 10 regions in Curitiba starting September 17. The initiative aims to serve approximately 20,000 animals in the capital and an additional 8,000 in municipalities including Antonina, Morretes, Tijucas do Sul, São José dos Pinhais, and Doutor Ulysses. Participation requires prior registration through the program's official website.

In Guaraqueçaba, the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), in partnership with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), is conducting a free neutering campaign for dogs and cats. This initiative, funded by the Paraná Coastal Biodiversity Program, takes place between September 1 and September 6 at the Municipal Health Secretariat and the Espaço Cidadão in the Tagaçaba community. Interested owners must schedule appointments in advance and meet specific age and weight requirements for their animals.
