Paraná Military Fire Department opens volunteer lifeguard selection

The Paraná Military Fire Department (CBMPR) has opened applications for its Volunteer Civil Lifeguard course, with registration running until Friday, October 16. The selection process offers 120 vacancies distributed between open waters (ocean) and inland waters (rivers and lagoons).

The training is intended for those wishing to serve during the 2026/2027 season. Vacancies are available in five municipalities: Matinhos, Guaratuba, Foz do Iguaçu, Marechal Cândido Rondon, and Umuarama.

To qualify, applicants must be between 18 and 50 years old, have completed high school, possess no criminal record, and be up to date with electoral obligations. The selection process includes a physical capacity exam consisting of explosion and resistance tests, followed by a documentation and enrollment phase. The course is scheduled to begin on November 30.
