Paraná political candidates align for upcoming elections

Political figures in Paraná are aligning for upcoming elections, with Curitiba Mayor Eduardo Pimentel expressing full support for PSD candidates Sandro Alex and Rafael Greca. Pimentel emphasized that the partnership between the Curitiba City Hall and the State Government has been vital for infrastructure projects and municipal advancements, such as Curitiba's rise to the top of the IDEB rankings among Brazilian capitals.

Sandro Alex, a candidate for the Governor of Paraná, has outlined a platform focused on strengthening public security. He proposed maintaining and expanding investments in police forces, equipment, and intelligence. Alex highlighted that annual security spending increased from R$ 2 billion to R$ 8 billion over the last eight years, contributing to the lowest crime rates in two decades. He also committed to a new civil police recruitment exam in 2027 and continued modernization of equipment, including firearms, vehicles, and aerial surveillance technology.
