Paraná poll shows PSD candidate Sandro Alex far behind Sergio Moro
A poll released by Instituto Vox Brasil surveyed 2,000 voters in Paraná and found the PSD candidate for governor, Sandro Alex, with just over 10% support in all scenarios, even with the backing of Governor Ratinho Junior. Former senator Sergio Moro of the PL leads the race, holding 43.4% of voter intention when former Curitiba mayor Rafael Greca (MDB) is in the contest and rising to 49.2% if Greca is excluded.
Greca, who ranks second at about 23% in the poll, would double Alex’s share. The PDT candidate Requião Filho consistently polls between 20% and 22%, usually in second place unless Greca is present. Governor Ratinho Junior, currently abroad, says he will keep Alex as the PSD nominee and believes the governor’s 84% approval rating could boost the campaign. A second poll by Instituto Paraná Pesquisas is expected next week, offering a comparison of the two surveys.
