Paraná reaches 8.6 million voters for 2026 elections

Paraná has reached 8.6 million eligible voters for the 2026 elections, making it the fifth-largest electoral college in Brazil. The voter population is heavily concentrated in urban centers, with Curitiba, Londrina, Maringá, Ponta Grossa, and Cascavel accounting for approximately 30.3% of the state's total electorate.

To support the upcoming vote, the Regional Electoral Court of Paraná (TRE-PR) will deploy 30,174 electronic voting machines. This includes 27,333 machines for electoral sections and 2,841 units held in reserve for contingency purposes. Operational preparations, including the sealing of machines, are scheduled to begin in mid-September.

In parallel, AtlasIntel has registered a new poll to analyze voter preferences for the 2026 presidential, state government, and Senate races. The survey, which includes 1,800 interviews, will evaluate various political figures and assess public perception of current leadership and regional issues such as health, education, and crime.
