Paraná rolls out AI for municipal finance and announces lottery winners

The State Treasury Secretariat (Sefa) in Paraná has added an artificial‑intelligence chatbot to its Municipality Nota A program. Developed by Sefa’s Technical Economics Area, the AI tool lets municipal managers query fiscal data, revenues, expenses and accounting indicators directly, aiming to improve transparency and decision‑making for over 110 municipalities. The system is in a beta phase and Sefa stresses that responses should be cross‑checked with official sources.

In the city of Marechal Cândido Rondon, the municipal government held the third draw of the Nota Fiscal Premiada “Nota Marechal” lottery. Winners received prizes ranging from a Honda PCX scooter to cash awards totaling R$ 7,400. The results will be audited and published in the official electronic diary, with officials citing the program’s role in encouraging fiscal citizenship and boosting municipal revenue for public services.
