Paratus Namibia launches Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite service
Paratus Namibia has launched Eutelsat’s OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite service to provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity across Namibia. The service is aimed at both residential and commercial markets, specifically targeting areas where traditional terrestrial connectivity is limited or unavailable.
The offering includes both capped and uncapped packages, allowing users to manage data usage through the Paratus customer management platform. For businesses, the LEO service can serve as a reliable secondary or backup connection to ensure network redundancy and business continuity without the need for additional fixed-line installations.
This launch is part of an ongoing partnership between Paratus and Eutelsat in Africa. Andrew Hall, Managing Director of Paratus Namibia, noted that the company is leveraging its LEO experience across the continent to deliver technical expertise and competitive connectivity options to Namibian customers.
