Paratus Namibia launches Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite service

Paratus Namibia has launched Eutelsat’s OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite service to provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity throughout Namibia. The service targets both residential and commercial markets, specifically aiming to reach locations where traditional terrestrial services are limited or unavailable.

The offering includes both capped and uncapped packages, providing users with flexibility and control via the Paratus customer management platform. For businesses, the LEO service can serve as a reliable secondary or backup connection to enhance network redundancy and business continuity without the need for additional fixed-line installations.

Andrew Hall, Managing Director of Paratus Namibia, stated that the company is leveraging its existing LEO experience across Africa to deliver technical expertise and competitive connectivity packages to Namibian customers.
