Parauapebas health centre reopens, Acre expands rural housing programme
The municipality of Parauapebas in Brazil inaugurated a renovated basic health unit in the Área de Proteção Ambiental do Igarapé Gelado, adding new facilities such as ultrasound examinations and a wider range of medical and dental services for roughly three thousand residents.
In the Brazilian state of Acre, the federal Minha Casa Minha Vida Rural programme announced the construction of more than 600 new rural homes, aiming to improve living conditions for families in agriculture, indigenous, quilombola and other vulnerable communities.
Both initiatives are part of local government efforts to strengthen public services and infrastructure in Brazil’s northern regions.
