Parauapebas hosts 22nd Círio de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré

Approximately 45,000 people participated in the 22nd Círio de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré in Parauapebas, Brazil. The four-hour religious procession, held on Saturday, the 24th, followed the theme ‘With Mary, United in Faith, in Hope and in Mission’.

The pilgrimage began at the São Sebastião Church in the Cidade Nova neighborhood and concluded at the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora de Nazaré in Parque dos Carajás. During the procession, devotees honored the Virgin Mary through prayer, songs, and traditional acts of gratitude.

Local residents and merchants supported the event by setting up altars and distributing water and rose petals. The celebration included live music, fireworks, and a drone light show that projected images of Nossa Senhora de Nazaré and the Sacred Heart of Mary in the sky. Additionally, an agricultural drone was used to release an aromatic mist over the crowd as the image passed.
