Parenting support and equality initiatives launched in Croatia

Various community initiatives in Croatia are focusing on parental support and equal parenting through educational programs and social events.

In Čakovec, the Krijesnice educator association has launched the ‘Rastimo zajedno’ (Growing Together) program. This initiative offers a series of 11 interactive workshops designed to help parents navigate 21st-century parenting challenges. Topics include understanding children's psychological needs, setting boundaries, and building quality relationships. The workshops are led by a team of experts and are limited to 12 participants per group to ensure interactive learning.

Additionally, the ‘Ravnopravno roditeljstvo virovitičkog prstena’ (Equal Parenting of the Virovitica Ring) project recently held an event in Pitomača. Attended by over 270 participants, the program combined education with entertainment for fathers and children. The event featured a multimedia lecture on digital literacy and the responsible use of digital content, followed by a screening of the animated film ‘Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom’ to encourage quality family time.
