Parghelia authorities seize sewage system following environmental inspections

Authorities in Parghelia, Calabria, have seized a sewage system and an underground structure following inspections into wastewater disposal at the Costa dei Monaci residential complex. The operation, conducted by the Carabinieri with technical support from Arpacal, also resulted in the seizure of a bar attached to the Le Fornaci beach club.

Calabrian Regional Environment Councilor Antonio Montuoro stated that the coordinated effort between law enforcement and technical agencies demonstrated effective territorial monitoring. Further investigations are required to determine the exact functionality of the systems and establish legal responsibility for any irregularities.
