Parineeti Chopra condemns postpartum body-shaming and trolling

Actor Parineeti Chopra has criticized the online trolling of women regarding postpartum weight gain, describing such comments as “absolutely illiterate” and “uneducated.” During a recent interview, Chopra defended industry peer Katrina Kaif, who faced scrutiny following the birth of her son.

Chopra questioned the double standards regarding physical changes, noting that while results from gym workouts or tanning are often celebrated, the physical evidence of childbirth is frequently viewed negatively. She expressed admiration for stretch marks as a sign of having brought a human life into the world.

To avoid negativity, Chopra stated that she limits her time on social media, viewing the trolling as an insignificant waste of time often driven by individuals seeking attention. She also noted a perceived disparity in how female actors are scrutinized for their roles and personal lives compared to their male counterparts.
