Parineeti Chopra debuts in Netflix crime thriller Shaque

Parineeti Chopra has made her debut in the web series format with the Netflix crime thriller ‘Shaque: Trust No One’. Directed by Rensil D’Silva and co-created with Siddharth P Malhotra, the series follows Anvita, a mother searching for her daughter who was abducted from a hospital nine years prior.

Critics have noted the series’ emotional core and strong performances, though some reviews describe the direction as muted despite the pulpy premise involving themes of black magic and illegal medical practices. Chopra expressed her desire to participate in ‘binge-watching culture’ and noted that her recent work in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ helped revitalize interest in her career.
