Paris Brunner: AS Monaco begins contract extension talks
AS Monaco has entered negotiations with 20-year-old German striker Paris Brunner to extend his contract, which currently runs until June 2028. The move follows a highly successful start to the season for Brunner, who has scored six goals in seven competitive matches.
His performance has also been noted at the international level, where he recently scored twice for the German U21 national team in a 4-0 victory against Latvia.
Following his transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2024 for four million euros, Dortmund reportedly retains a ‘matching right’ rather than a standard buy-back clause. This mechanism would allow Dortmund to match any competitive offer made by another club for the player, though they do not hold priority and would still need to reach an agreement with Brunner himself.
