Germany U21 defeats Latvia 4-0 behind Paris Brunner's debut brace

The Germany U21 national team secured a dominant 4-0 victory against Latvia in Riga, moving closer to qualifying for the Euro 2027 tournament. The win keeps Germany at the top of Group F with 21 points, tied with Greece.

Paris Brunner, the 20-year-old AS Monaco striker, made a highly impactful debut by scoring two goals. His first goal arrived just 53 seconds into the match, following an assist from Lukas Ullrich. Brunner’s performance comes amid recent controversy regarding a disciplinary suspension in Ligue 1 following a provocative celebration against Strasbourg.

Other contributors to the victory included Nicolo Tresoldi, who scored the third goal, and Arijon Ibrahimovic, who added the fourth. Germany’s qualification campaign continues with upcoming matches against Malta and Georgia. While the team celebrated the win, Borussia Mönchengladbach's Wael Mohya missed his debut due to an ankle injury sustained during training.
