Paris Design Week features major exhibitions and Japanese-inspired works

The sixteenth edition of Paris Design Week features a wide array of exhibitions across the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Opéra, and Bastille districts. The event includes approximately 500 participants and over 320 locations, ranging from galleries and showrooms to heritage sites.

For the first time, the Musée des Arts décoratifs (MAD) is participating in the week, presenting works from four designers who completed residencies at Villa Kujoyama in Japan: Nina Fradet, Tony Jouanneau, Felipe Ribon, and Marion Vidal. Their works, which blend science, art, and architecture, are displayed within the museum's permanent collections through January 3, 2027.

Other notable events include the ‘Vivement Demain’ exhibition at the Mobilier national, which showcases the work of 23 recent graduates from the Campus Mode, Métiers d’Art et Design. Additionally, the Hôtel de la Marine is hosting the ‘Hanjimania’ exhibition and a display by Maison Lacmé featuring a transformed vehicle.
