Paris design and trade events
Overview
Paris Design Week is scheduled to take place from September 10 to 19, 2026, utilizing approximately 320 locations across the city, including galleries, showrooms, boutiques, and heritage sites in districts such as the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Opéra, and Bastille. Early highlights include sculptural installations like Pierre Renart’s ‘Arabesque’ at the Hôtel de Rohan and Johanna de Clisson’s stoneware planter-sculptures at the Hôtel de Soubise, as well as the ‘La Reprise de la Bastille’ textile installation.
The event runs concurrently with the Maison&Objet professional trade fair, held from September 10 to 14 at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center. This edition follows the theme ‘Pulse in Motion,’ developed by the Spanish agency Masquespacio, and features approximately 5,000 brands across sectors including decor, design, fine craft, fragrance, wellness, fashion, and culinary arts.
Notable programming includes the first public opening of the Galerie Andrée Putman to showcase furniture reissues and archives for the founder’s centenary. For the first time, the Musée des Arts décoratifs (MAD) is participating, presenting works by four designers—Nina Fradet, Tony Jouanneau, Felipe Ribon, and Marion Vidal—who completed residencies at Villa Kujoyama in Japan. Other exhibitions include ‘Vivement Demain’ at the Mobilier national, featuring 23 recent graduates, and ‘Hanjimania’ at the Hôtel de la Marine.
