Paris officials face new complaint over school sexual violence scandal
A new collective complaint is being filed against the City of Paris regarding a scandal involving sexual violence within extracurricular school programs. Approximately twenty families, whose children attended Saint-Dominique and Volontaires schools between 2025 and 2026, are part of this legal action.
The complaint targets 14 individuals, including current Paris Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire, former Mayor Anne Hidalgo, and First Deputy Mayor Patrick Bloche. The legal allegations include endangering others, failure to report sexual assaults or mistreatment, failure to assist minors in danger, and intentional omission to prevent a crime. It also addresses potential perjury regarding statements made by Anne Hidalgo to the Senate.
This filing is intended to join an existing investigation opened by Paris Prosecutor Laure Beccuau. The investigation examines whether administrative failures or omissions by city officials allowed extracurricular supervisors—some of whom are already under indictment for rape and assault—to access and harm young children.
