Parish and municipal Grest summer programs launch across Italy
Parishes in the Alto Caserta area of Campania are running Grest summer camps for children and families. The events, organized by the inter‑diocesan youth pastoral team, run from early June through July and feature themes such as “David, the courage of a shepherd” and the 800th anniversary of St Francis of Assisi. Participating parishes include Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Caiazzo, the Oratorio Salesiano Don Bosco in Piedimonte Matese and many others, each offering games, workshops, prayer and a final celebration.
In Sicily, the Comune of Torregrotta has opened its Grest Comunale 2026 for residents aged 6‑14. Running from 29 June to 1 August, the program – themed “Nature, Sound and Well‑being” – provides creative labs, swimming, guided tours and group activities for 45 children, with registration through the town’s social services office.
