Park Gródek water level drops in Jaworzno, Poland

The water level in the Wydra reservoir at Park Gródek in Jaworzno has fallen noticeably, exposing the rocky bottom beneath the wooden footbridge that is a popular photo spot. The decline is attributed to a period without significant rainfall and high summer temperatures, which cause the shallow reservoir to lose water quickly. Visitors now see stones, exposed pipes and a dry riverbed where the turquoise surface once was, prompting mixed reactions among tourists and locals.

Despite the change, the park remains a frequented destination for walks, recreation and short trips, drawing both residents of Jaworzno and tourists from other parts of Poland and abroad. The city has placed a sign prohibiting access to the exposed slopes, while some locals have petitioned the mayor for the reinstatement of the stairs that were removed after damage.
