By early August, municipal authorities had installed a sign barring access to the exposed slopes, and local residents submitted a petition urging the mayor to restore the stairs that were removed after damage.

By mid-August, observations indicated significant fluctuations in the water levels. A previously submerged walkway has resurfaced, and the growth of land-based plant species in areas that were formerly underwater suggests the site has remained dry for several months. The local hydrogeological situation is being influenced by the depression cone created by coal mining in the Jaworzno area, part of a broader trend of declining water levels in various Polish regions driven by mining, climate change, and groundwater extraction.
