Parma to celebrate 50 years of municipal nursery schools

The City of Parma has announced a program of initiatives titled ‘Educare è una Storia di Comunità’ (Educating is a Community Story) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of municipal nursery schools. The celebrations, marking the period from 1976 to 2026, will take place from September 23 to October 3, 2026.

The program will include cultural meetings, workshops, shows, and various opportunities for participation aimed at children, families, educators, and the general public. Caterina Bonetti, the Councilor for Educational Services, emphasized that these services are a vital part of the city’s identity and have supported generations of citizens.

The initiative aims to reflect on the history of early childhood services in Parma and address evolving needs and innovations in childcare to support the community's future.
