Parma municipal nursery school 50th anniversary

The City of Parma announced a program of initiatives titled ‘Educare è una Storia di Comunità’ (Educating is a Community Story) to mark the 50th anniversary of its municipal nursery schools, covering the period from 1976 to 2026. The planned celebrations were intended to include workshops, cultural meetings, and shows to reflect on the history of early childhood services.

As the celebrations commenced, the city held a symbolic parade featuring children from 28 local educational services. During this period, Parma also inaugurated the Papaveri Blu nursery in the Eurosia district. This new facility, designed for 80 children aged 0 to 3, was completed with a 3.8 million euro investment sourced from the European Union’s Next Generation EU (Pnrr) resources, state funds, and municipal administration funds.
