Parpública to deliver TAP privatization bid evaluation to Portuguese government

Parpública, the state holding company, is scheduled to deliver a report to the Portuguese government on September 1 regarding binding offers for the privatization of TAP Air Portugal. The report will evaluate binding proposals submitted by the Air France-KLM and Lufthansa groups to acquire a 44.9% stake in the airline.

The document will provide a detailed description and assessment of each proposal, determining their absolute and relative merit based on established selection criteria. This assessment is intended to assist the administration led by Luís Montenegro in deciding which group will acquire the stake.

The privatization process involves selling up to 49.99% of the company. An additional 5% stake is reserved for the airline's employees, which the winning group may also acquire if it is not fully subscribed. The report will also be shared with a special monitoring commission to facilitate the final report on the reprivatization process.
