Partial Solar Eclipse Visible in Arad, Romania on Aug 12 2026
A partial solar eclipse will occur on 12 August 2026, visible from western Romania. Cities such as Arad, Timișoara, Oradea, Satu Mare, Carei and Salonta are expected to have the best view, with the eclipse appearing between about 19:30 and 20:30 local time. The eclipse will be partial, as Romania lies outside the path of totality, meaning the Moon will cover only a portion of the Sun’s disc.
Observers are advised to choose locations with an unobstructed western horizon and clear skies, since cloud cover could impede visibility. While the phenomenon will be witnessed by millions across Europe, it will not produce the complete darkness associated with total eclipses.
