Partito Democratico headquarters in Rome vandalized

The headquarters of the Partito Democratico (PD) in the Trionfale district of Rome was vandalized during the night between September 6 and September 7, 2026. Local secretary Enzo Foschi reported that the party's sign was torn down and the premises were defaced with stickers and writings containing fascist and Nazi symbols.

Foschi described the incident as a grave and unacceptable act targeting a place of democratic participation. Nicola Zingaretti, the PD's head of delegation to the European Parliament, expressed solidarity with the local branch, stating that such intimidation would not stop the party's political commitment.

The incident has raised concerns regarding political intimidation in the city. While the damage is significant, there have been no official communications from the Questura regarding the opening of formal investigations at the time of the reports.
