Real Madrid defeats Partizan 86-76 in EuroLeague

Real Madrid secured their first EuroLeague victory of the season by defeating Partizan Belgrade 86-76 at the Movistar Arena. The win provides much-needed stability for Real Madrid coach Pedro Martínez, who has faced scrutiny following a difficult start to the season. Real Madrid controlled much of the game, particularly in the second quarter, building a significant lead that Partizan struggled to overcome despite a strong performance from Carlik Jones, who scored 19 points.

For Partizan, the loss marks their first defeat in the competition after an undefeated 3-0 start. Coach Joan Peñarroya emphasized the importance of team unity and professionalism following the result. Analysts noted that while Partizan remains competitive, the team's heavy reliance on Jones and struggles with shooting efficiency in high-pressure environments were key factors in the loss.

In other EuroLeague action, Crvena Zvezda achieved a significant away victory against Dubai, showcasing strong defensive discipline to secure the win. Additionally, Asvel Lyon-Villeurbanne earned a narrow 98-96 victory over Paris Basketball, led by veteran Patty Mills.
