EuroLeague Round 2: Partizan signs Banjae Sy ahead of Paris matchup
The second round of the EuroLeague features key matchups for Belgrade-based clubs. Crvena zvezda is set to host Hapoel Tel Aviv at the Belgrade Arena, seeking their first win of the season after an opening loss to Zalgiris. The club has received a final warning from EuroLeague disciplinary officials regarding fan conduct, including the use of lasers and inappropriate chanting, following incidents in the first round.
Partizan enters their EuroLeague away game against Paris following a victory over Olimpia Milano. To address the injury of Derek Willis, Partizan has officially signed 36-year-old French forward Banjae Sy to a short-term contract. Sy, a former player for the club, is expected to be available for the upcoming matches in Paris and against Bayern Munich. Partizan head coach Joan Penarroja emphasized the need to defend against Paris’s fast-paced offensive style.
