País para Todos appeals Huamalíes election ruling

The political party País para Todos has announced it will appeal a resolution issued by the Special Electoral Jury (JEE) of Huamalíes regarding the provincial municipal elections. Ricardo Pastrana Salinas, the party's legal representative, claimed the JEE committed technical errors and omissions despite recommendations from the National Jury of Elections (JNE) concerning a disputed polling station in the Miraflores district.

The party is seeking the annulment of the contested electoral record to restore the rights of its candidates. In contrast, País para Todos has decided to accept the election results for the Leoncio Prado Provincial Municipality, officially recognizing Tito Jaime Hidalgo as the elected mayor to ensure legal stability.

Additionally, regarding the Chuquis District Municipality elections, the JNE has ordered the JEE Huamalíes to conduct a recount of a specific electoral record in accordance with the Organic Law of Elections.
