PASOK launches pre-election campaign and expansion strategy

PASOK is launching its pre-election season with a series of strategic events and organizational expansions. Party leader Nikos Androulakis is scheduled to kick off the campaign in Crete, starting with a major event on September 3rd to commemorate the party's founding, followed by a three-day tour of Lasithi, Rethymno, and Chania. The party also plans to participate in the Thessaloniki International Fair.

In terms of policy, PASOK will present a program addressing private debt at a dedicated event in Athens, featuring Milena Apostolaki and Dimitris Spyrakos. The party is also working to finalize its candidate lists, with approximately 70% of the ballot for Aetolia-Acarnania already determined.

Simultaneously, the party is pursuing a strategy to expand its parliamentary presence by engaging with independent MPs. Discussions are reportedly underway with figures such as Nina Kasimati, Alexandros Avlonitis, and Evangelos Apostolakis. Additionally, Athens Mayor Charis Doukas has called for PASOK to move beyond a 'social democracy of assimilation' and actively oppose the concentration of wealth through political power.
