PASOK expands with new parliamentary recruits in two‑sided strategy

The Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) is intensifying its "bilateral expansion" strategy by adding a wave of new members to strengthen its parliamentary presence. Recent talks have led to the recruitment of independent MP Michalis Hourdakis from Thessaloniki, who joined forces with Nikos Androulaki and officially aligned with Harilaou Trikoupi. The party’s Expansion and Support Committee, chaired by Kostas Skandalidis, has announced three organized waves of appointments, drawing figures from a broad ideological spectrum—including former SYRIZA members, the Potami party, DIMAR, the Renewing Left, and other centrist groups. Approximately 120 individuals have been publicly listed as supporters or returnees, reflecting PASOK’s aim to become a central force for political change ahead of upcoming elections.
