PASOK leader announces legislative plan to support Greek SMEs

Nikos Androulakis, leader of the PASOK-Movement for Change party, has announced a comprehensive legislative proposal to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Greece. Speaking at the 1st National Congress of the Chamber of Craftsmen of Athens, Thessaloniki, and Piraeus, Androulakis stated that the party will submit a bill to Parliament in the coming days focusing on taxation, private debt regulation, financing, and operating costs.

Androulakis criticized the current government, arguing that sustainable economic growth is impossible if resources are concentrated among a few large entities. He claimed that out of approximately 820,000 small and micro-businesses, only 15,170 have successfully accessed financing. He further alleged that the government has mismanaged the approximately 85 billion euros in European recovery funds by directing them toward large corporations that already have banking access, rather than building a broader productive base.
