PASOK spokesperson criticizes Mitsotakis over debt and property policies

Kostas Tsoukalas, spokesperson for PASOK-Kίνημα Αλλαγής, has launched a series of sharp political attacks against Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the New Democracy government.

Regarding economic policy, Tsoukalas accused the administration of facilitating an unprecedented redistribution of real estate assets to investment funds. He criticized the government's management of private debt, claiming that protections for primary residences are non-existent despite official rhetoric, citing record auctions and seizures as evidence.

In response to the Prime Minister's recent comments in Western Macedonia, Tsoukalas dismissed claims of regional development as an “illusion,” noting that promised projects following the lignite phase-out remain unfulfilled according to European Commission findings. He further rejected Mitsotakis's characterization of PASOK's positions as “rear-guard battles.”

Additionally, Tsoukalas addressed parliamentary disputes, specifically regarding the selection of Vice Presidents of the Parliament. He accused New Democracy of attempting to manipulate parliamentary majorities and interfering with the democratic selection process of parliamentary groups.
