PASOK targets second place in Aetolia-Acarnania election barometer
PASOK official Giannis Vardakastanis has emphasized the party's goal to secure second place in the Aetolia-Acarnania region, which is viewed as a political barometer for national election results. During a meeting of the Electoral Struggle Provincial Committee in Agrinio, the importance of this region was highlighted, noting that PASOK aims to surpass the party led by former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
Speaking in Heraklion during celebrations for the party's founding anniversary on September 3, Vardakastanis asserted that PASOK remains united and maintains stable political positions. He criticized Alexis Tsipras, suggesting the former leader should take public responsibility for past policy decisions regarding the economy and social protections. Vardakastanis also addressed claims of program overlap, stating that PASOK's stances are firm and distinct from its competitors.
