Passenger dies during Malaysia Airlines flight to Sydney

A passenger died on a Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney after suffering a medical emergency mid-air on Wednesday. The individual, reported to be an Indian national, reportedly suffered a severe asthma attack during the approximately eight-hour journey on flight MH141.

Upon the onset of the emergency, a doctor, three nurses, and a cabin crew member on board attempted to provide medical assistance and performed CPR. Despite these efforts, the passenger was pronounced dead by the doctor on board. The flight arrived at Sydney Airport at 7:43 p.m. local time, where paramedics attended to the scene.

New South Wales Police stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious and no further investigation is anticipated. Malaysia Airlines issued a statement expressing condolences to the man’s family and apologized to passengers for disruptions to flights MH141 and MH140.
