In Argentina, researchers recorded a Leopardus pajeros, known as the pajonal cat, moving across the snow‑covered steppe of Santa Cruz province. The sighting, captured on video along Provincial Route 43, provides rare documentation of the species in its winter habitat and underscores its ecological significance for regional biodiversity monitoring.
