Patagonia winter tourism season offers new Banco Patagonia benefits and San Martín de los Andes travel tips

Banco Patagonia launched a range of winter‑season promotions for 2026 in the Argentine Patagonia ski hubs of San Carlos de Bariloche and El Bolsón. The bank provides a free daily shuttle between its downtown branch and Cerro Catedral, a refuge with Wi‑Fi and amenities, and credit‑card discounts on ski lifts, equipment rentals, hotels, restaurants and other services, with up to 30 % off and interest‑free installments.

In San Martín de los Andes, heavy snowfall has opened the winter season at Chapelco, where new investments bring expanded parking, upgraded lifts and additional runs. Daily lift tickets cost 160,000 ARS for visitors and 120,000 ARS for residents, while equipment rentals run 60,000‑70,000 ARS per day. The town also promotes non‑ski activities such as snowshoe walks, snowmobile tours, dog‑sled rides and lake excursions. Authorities warn drivers to avoid night travel on icy mountain roads and advise tourists to verify accommodation listings to evade online scams.
