Paternò and Barletta appoint committees for 2026 patron saint festivals

The extraordinary commission of the municipality of Paternò (Italy) issued a decree on 8 July 2026 naming the members of the committee that will organize the Santa Barbara celebrations from 1 to 11 December 2026. The decree reduces the number of members and lists the appointed individuals, including President Gaetano Amato and other local representatives.

The Barletta city administration issued a press release on 8 July 2026 urging the "Barletta Civitas Mariae" patron festivals committee to correct shortcomings raised by citizens and to comply with legal and contractual obligations for the 2026 patron saint festivities. The request follows observations from residents and earlier council resolutions that entrusted the committee with organising sponsorships, processions, fireworks and other events.
