Path of Exile 2 to launch version 1.0 on December 11
Grinding Gear Games has announced that Path of Exile 2 will officially launch its version 1.0 on December 11, 2026. This release marks the end of the game’s nearly two-year Early Access period.
Upon the full launch, the action RPG will transition to a free-to-play model on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, removing the previous entry fee. The update will complete the main story campaign by adding the final two Acts.
Key gameplay additions include the introduction of the Duelist class, which focuses on aggressive melee combat using swords and shields. The update also introduces swords as a new weapon type available to various builds. Players can register on the official website before December 10, 2026, to participate in a community milestone campaign for exclusive rewards, such as cosmetic effects and a pet.
